Maxcy Suspends Latimore Sales and Marketing

Due to the weakening real estate market, the Latt Maxcy Corporation has elected to suspend all sales and marketing efforts for its waterfront Latimore Landings project.

In a statement released to the Chamber, Maxcy Development group noted, “The company plans to explore alternative product options during this time and remains committed to developing the community to be located on the shores of Lake Howard and Lake May. Maxcy plans to proceed with the permitting and approval process with the hopes of re-launching the project when market conditions have sufficiently improved.”

The freestanding residential market, while sluggish, continues to attract buyers. Condominium and townhouse projects have been harder hit by the current real estate slowdown.

I’m not surprised they have decided to scrap their plans. The price tag for one of their condos was way out-of-line for Winter Haven, maybe Orlando, but surely not Winter Haven.
