New Ledger Publisher:
Jerome Ferson (pictured as he spoke today to employees) has been named publisher of The Ledger effective July 30. He succeeds John Fitzwater who retired in early May. He joins The Ledger from American News in Aberdeen, SD where he has been president and publisher since February 2005.
Ferson, 35, began his newspaper career in 1988 working at the Post Bulletin in Rochester, MN.
Mary Jacobus, president and chief operating officer, The New Your Times Company Regional Media Group, made the announcement.
