Legoland Florida Lauches Official Web site …

POLK COUNTY, FL (Feb. 24, 2010) – The excitement is building since the announcement of LEGOLAND® Florida in January, and now future guests and job seekers can follow the progress of the family theme park at www.LEGOLANDFloridaResort.com. The website includes a press page with photos and video of LEGOLAND® California, a link to all available job opportunities with Merlin Entertainments and a link to LEGOLAND® California Resort.

Due to the strong interest from contractors, a separate email has been set up for those wishing to introduce their company and offer their services to Merlin Entertainments. All those inquiries should be addressed to LLFContractors@LEGOLAND.com.

LEGOLAND Florida opens at the end of 2011 and will be the biggest LEGOLAND Park to ever open offering a unique mix of more than 50 rides, shows and attractions, including spectacular LEGO® models. The Florida development will be Merlin Entertainment’s second LEGOLAND Park in North America and will play an important role in the group’s continued growth in the U.S. Providing a full-day, year round, theme park experience geared towards families with children between the ages of two and 12, LEGOLAND Florida will mirror the successful concept of the four existing LEGOLAND Parks in Denmark, Germany, UK and California. However, as with the other four, it will also have its own unique “twist” reflecting its stunning location and adding a Florida flavor.

It’s so cool to see Legoland Florida’s addition to Merlin Entertainment’s plethora of theme parks. I noted the London Eye is also owned and operated by Merlin! The four job postings on the Florida park are a wonderful start to this great partnership project!

This is a great addition to a great city and Central Florida. I look forward to visiting it on a trip down to Winter Haven. We will be offering free tickets with our vacation rentals just as we did with Cypress Garden. I hope they keep the concert series running. Are there any contacts available for Legoland Florida?
Can’t wait to get hold of my Lego!

  4. Michael and Dee Norris with Brokers Realty of CFI. Welcome LEGOLAND® to Winter Haven Florida. We are thrilled that Merlin Entertainments chose this location for the new LEGOLAND® opening in the fall of 2011.

‘I am very familiar with and have enjoyed all of Merlin Entertainment’s attractions in the UK. Having being a resident of Bournemouth, Dorset myself before moving to Winter Haven’ … Dee

LEGOLAND® is going to be an amazing addition to Winter Haven and the surrounding communities of Central Florida.

Legoland has gotten a leg up from Gov.
Charlie Crist in the Florida Cabinet.
The panel Tuesday approved using 150 acres of state property at Cypress Gardens, which closed last year, for the new theme park based on Lego toy plastic blocks.

Is there a map people can see that shows where the 150 acres of state property is that LEGO is going to use, Thanks
    Joey

  6. Susan says:

Am excited to hear Legoland is coming to Winter Haven. I know my grandsons will be huge fans. (four of them)
Was wondering if the water portion of the park will be kept. As grandparents, we enjoyed cooling off in the wave pool, and lazy river. Hoping that won’t change.

  7. Bob Gernert says:

The park has not announced exact plans for the waterpark. It will not open in the fall when the park opens but watch for more definite plans to be announced. LEGOLAND operates a premier park. You will not be disappointed.

  8. Rose Lanoie says:

In years past, Cypress Gardens was bringing in hit name performers and always had concert shows on Saturday nights or Sunday afternoons. I have multiple family members (about 10) who bought season tickets to all of the concerts. Will you also be bringing in performers for outdoor open concerts???? The were FANTASTIC!!! These concerts were a sell out every time. It brought people into the park for the day and would always stay for the concerts. I would always buy a season ticket even though I was only there vacationing for a few weeks at a time. Please don’t take the concerts away, sssooo many people loved them.

  9. Donald Wittwer says:

A Question: Since my ability to walking is very limited are there facilities to go through “Legoland” other than on foot?

    Your reply will be appreciated.
    Thanks

  10. Bob Gernert says:

LEGOLAND Florida offers both manual and electric wheelchairs for rent at the entrance to the park.
