I am conflicted on the changes taking place here in Winter Haven. On one hand it is nice to have all the added Commercial things that add up to more jobs hopefully better paying jobs. These type of things usually bring in other things like malls and other entertainment. All this expansion is good but then it takes away that small town feel. that is one of the main reasons I moved here. There becomes more growth with more homes then more traffic and then comes the element of the rude people that are new. When a place seems to have a lot of sudden growth then all the rude people from where you just left to get away from them seem to follow. There goes that samll town friendly feel that you liked about the place. Now you have all the big chain stores etc coming in which takes away the charm of the city. All those homes that are different and have charm are replaced by the ticky tacky homes that are for miles of the exact same pointed roofs with the pillors and all the beautiful trees are cut down to make it barror and hot. I keep moving from all those places that end up looking like that. It begins not to look real and ends up being the same place that you just moved from.
